With a few skincare products, you can create a home spa experience in your own bathroom. Treat your face and body to the attention it craves and step out feeling like a new man.
What man doesn’t enjoy immersing himself in a hot, relaxing bath?

A DIY SPA FACIAL KIT
should include the ingredients you need to perform your own facial. What’s really great is that it isn’t expensive or difficult at all.
Here are some step-by-step instructions on how to perform a relaxing and cleansing facial from home.
Cleansing and Exfoliating
First, remove any sweat using warm water and a cleanser that’s gentle to the skin. Wash your face with a product that will not only cleanse, but also moisturize your skin. Aloe, for example, not only moisturizes, but it may also help strengthen and protect the skin.
After cleansing, give your skin a DIY “steam facial” with a warm, essential oil-infused hand towel. This will help open the pores and make your skin more receptive to other skincare products. Here’s how to do the steam facial:
While you prepare to slather on the skin-nourishing mask, run a hot bath and add drops of the essential oil for aromatherapy and relaxing purposes. Essential oils can be found at any health food store or specialty aisles in your local supermarket. Try a few drops of lavender oil to feel tranquil, or mint to feel energized.
Now, fill a bowl with hot (but not too hot) water and add a few drops of the essential oil to it also. Then, wet a hand towel in the water, making sure to wring it out fully before using it. Once the towel is at a comfortable temperature, put it on your face for 2-3 minutes and enjoy its revitalizing aroma as you relax.
Next, it’s time to exfoliate your skin. A DIY sugar scrub is great for that, and you probably already have all the ingredients. Simply mix one tablespoon of sugar with the same amount of a skin-friendly oil, such as almond or avocado oil.
Put a dime-sized dab on your palms and then apply to your cheeks using a gentle, upward, circular motion. Then, wipe off the scrub with a damp washcloth.
Once you’re finished, dry your skin completely. This will make it easier for the ingredients you use next to penetrate the skin and give you the best results.
Use a Face Mask for Smooth, Moisturized Skin
Since you’re in the mood, try a luxurious facial. This will have your skin feeling refreshed and re-energized. Plus, it’s made of gentle, natural ingredients you probably already have in your kitchen.
First, mix together these natural ingredients:
1 Tablespoon of honey
1 Tablespoon of olive oil
2 Tablespoons of plain yogurt
and finally ~ 1 whole avocado
This particular type of mask can help moisturize your skin, with the fatty acids in the olive oil and avocado adding soothing moisture. The honey and yogurt in the face mask will also help soften skin. Step into your bath. Leave the mask on. Soak in the bath and let the oil vapors transport you to bliss. Try not to spend more than 30 minutes in the bath — you don’t want to fall asleep! Then rinse thoroughly.
The Final Steps: Toning And Moisturizing
Toning your skin helps make sure it’s free of dead skin cells as well as any impurities that might be clogging your pores. It will not only make your skin feel refreshed, it will also get it ready for the last step – moisturizing.
To tone your skin, apply some alcohol-free witch hazel on a cotton ball and gently swipe over your skin for a refreshing boost.

Put a nickel-sized amount of moisturizer (you can use avocado oil or vitamin E oil which is particularly beneficial for dry skin) on your fingertips and gently massage into your face. It will help lock in your skin’s natural moisture and protect it from the elements. The result will be a healthier, smoother complexion.
